Landscape XX
About this work
Between deconstruction and reconstruction, the various landscapes of Samuel Coisne evolve constantly into uniquely poetic postmodern artworks. The materials used belong to the realm of totally ordinary “found objects”; thrown away, scattered, broken, lost, forgotten, useless pieces of waste. With mindfulness and respect for what seem to be “ordinary pieces of wood”, Samuel Coisne offers them a new life, adding dignity and pride while simultaneously evoking a secret hope for rebirth.
