In his photo series Zones de Chalandises – a marketing word that depicts the zone around a shopping mall – you clearly see and sense the “no-man’s country” atmosphere. The public spaces become a crossroads of exchanges: a crowd shopping in the mall crosses wandering migrants. A fascination versus the unknown can be clearly seen in the photos. Just like in his drawings, there is an overwhelming sense of silence and space around the action. The result are images that evoke a cinematic experience with the viewer.
