About this work

The first B-balls were originally created in 2015 for a week long installation (“CA BOUNCE?”, ING Cours Saint-Michel, Brussels, BE) conducted on a discarded basketball court. During the installation, the works were contemplated as common sport utilities as the balls were daily packed and unpacked to start a new game every day in the open-air court. The glazed ceramic B-balls create a visual illusion so convincing that it participates in questioning and rethinking one’s view of everyday reality.

About this artist

“The world and civilization are both conceived by Elliot as raw material and an artistic issue, a sculptural problem and a source of thematic metaphors opening the path to multiple and complex interpretations.”
