Pierre-Pol Lecouturier (°1981, French, based in Brussels, BE) is a French artist living and working in Brussels since 2003. Most of Pierre-Pol’s works take the form of resolutions, involving a deliberate confusion of perception of both light and distance, to which he confers a precise existence in the shape of sculptures and minimal installations.
In 2008 Pierre-Pol Lecouturier received his Master’s degree in Visual Arts from the renowned art school La Cambre in Brussels, BE.
Soon after his graduation, Pierre-Pol Lecouturier had his first successful solo exhibition “Incidences” at the Erna Hecey Gallery in Brussels (BE) in July 2010, after his work had already been shown at the FIAC (Foire Internationale d’Art Contemporain) in Paris (FR) in 2008 and 2009.
Over the last few years, Pierre-Pol’s work has been included in numerous group exhibitions in Belgium and abroad: the Armory Show (2009, NY, USA), Galerie Waldburger (2012, Brussels, BE), Château de Ratilly (2012,Yvonne, FR), Ricou Gallery (2013, Brussels, BE), Greylight Projects (2014, Brussels, BE), Jeune Création (2014, Paris,FR), Accidental colors (2015,Turnhout, BE), Boites noires (2015, Lyon, FR), Emily Harvey Foundation (2016, NY, USA) and Yia Art fair (2016, Paris, FR).
